Post-Gallery Adventure

After the art gallery, we went to get lunch. We walked on the High Line to see the view of the city. It used to be a railroad but it is now an attraction for tourists and New Yorks alike.

I saw this on the side of a building while walking there~

We had ramen in the Chelsea Pier marketplace. It tasted really good but it was very expensive and not filling at all. I finished it in five minutes!
The bowl was at least $10 and I added an egg which was actually $2 extra :I

We went to Tours de Jours Bakery at Korea Town afterwards for dessert. They served shaved ice- decorated with condensed milk, red beans, fruits and ice cream.

It looks so colorful and lovely. I ordered the green tea shaved ice. It was very expensive though ($13!). It was mainly ice and I couldn't finish it in the end. I kept coughing bc it was so cold :(

After dessert, we decided to go home. It was a fun day c:

✮ Naruto Ramen ✮

I went to have lunch with mom at Naruto Ramen. The last time I went to eat there was during the winter. I remember it was very cold outside and that the place was so crowded we had to wait for awhile for seats.

But this time, the weather was very warm and the restaurant was rather empty!

Takoyaki for appetizers.
I'm not a huge fan of octopus and mayonnaise but this was very delicious! I love the taste of the batter after it's fried, and the outside of the takoyaki has a very savory taste. There is also no strong taste of the octopus; rather, I couldn't even taste it at all. I also love the bonito flakes; they're a bit sour but that's their taste lol

My ramen is called "Naruto Ramen" lol
It's called that maybe because that's the ramen Naruto eats in the anime :p

My Mom got another type of ramen. It's mostly veggies.

The portions looks very small but there is actually a lot of food. I couldn't finish it and my mom had to finish it for me lol
The ramen was good but it was a little bit salty, especially the meat but I think it's supposed to taste that way.
I decided to save the seaweed for last so I put it aside in the bowl and I just realized I forgot to eat it lol! It probably sank to the bottom of the bowl, drenched in the soup.

Anyway, the food in general is pretty good. It's funny how the restaurant makes authentic Japanese food but none of the workers are Japanese or East Asian. That's NYC for you!

Cup & Cup

No more lab on Wednesday~~ finally!

I met up with Courtney and Diana after my first class and then we went to Cup & Cup. This is the second time I've went to the cafe (entry on our first visit here). I've wanted to go there again for awhile but it closes after 4pm and it is another restaurant called Take 31 during that time as well as on weekends.
I got a latte and Diana got a red velvet latte (I think that's what it is called lol). Her drink always looks better than mine lol ;u;

I ordered pork udon and kimchi fries. The pork was mostly fat and the portions were small but it was still good. I love the kimchi fries the most. It had chopped pickles, kimchi and cheese topped on the fries. So addicting lol!

Love my lab group!

We had dessert at the Food Gallery afterwards. It's been awhile since I had froyo; I love mochi toppings :3

I had to head back to school afterwards *cries* but I had a really good time ^_^

Catching up w my homegurl

I finally got to see Sam again after many weeks! We were just gonna chill and catch up with the things going on in our lives :p

My look for today!        Wearing my halter top with high-waisted jeans and my favorite jacket! The weather is a bit too cold for this outfit but fashion > weather right? ;)

We stopped by Russ & Daughters to try out their salmon bagel. It was on the list of recommended foods in NYC from Buzzfeed lol!
It was delicious but it was not worth $13. So expensive! :c
There were no seats for us to eat so we had our lunch at Starbucks~

After that, we went to Spot Dessert at St. Marks for some more food. The restaurant raised the price of the desserts from $8 to $9 per plate!
Love Fondue
A pudding-like cake topped with hot fudge chocolate. The chocolate melts the cake forming it into a bowl. It is garnished with a scoop of raspberry sorbet and a scoop of strawberry ice cream as well as those pink meringue shown in the pic :p

Matcha Tiramisu
It is simply green tea tiramisu. It is layered with lady-fingers at the bottom. This was Sam's dessert but she kept eating mine ;u;

I realized I had to sign some papers from my eye doctor so we walked to Chinatown afterwards. It was so cold! :(

While we were walking down Soho, two guys called after us saying that we dropped something. Turns out it was a ploy to talk to us. One guy talked to me and the other guy talked to Sam (like wtf). He said I was cute and I had a nice fashion sense. It was very awkward b/c I didn't know what to say like why r u hitting on me AND ALSO I HAD TO GO TO THE EYE DOCTOR AND THE CLINIC CLOSES IN LIKE TEN MINUTES.
So after an awkward conversation, I told them I had to go to the doctor. He probably thought I was lying but nahh lol

Anyway, after the whole fiasco was over, Sam and I went back to Soho to do some window shopping. I bought a halter top from Forever21!

When the day was almost over, she came over to help me clean my room (lol my room is atrociously messy I can't get it clean w/o her) and for dinner :p

Spot Dessert~

We went to Spot Dessert at St. Mark's after shopping around in SoHo. Topshop had this sale where some items are up to 75% off; I got a set of three necklaces for only $5! It was a tattoo, charm and mood stone choker pack; so obsessed with chokers lately :3

After shopping around, we went to Panya to try curry pan. It was my first time tasting it and it was pretty good! For dessert we went to Spot Dessert which was just around the corner:

I forgot what this dessert is called but it has a cake and a scoop of ice cream with a sprinkle of walnuts in it.

I ordered the dessert called The Harvest. The "soil" is Oreo crumbs. The sides are raspberry sorbet and fruit. There is also milk tea to pour into the pot as if I were watering a plant!

Under the "soil", there are cakes which I think are lady fingers mixed with whipped cream and fruit. I really liked this dessert! c:

☕ x ☕

After our trip to the Gagarian Gallery, we went to Cup & Cup for lunch. It was a cafe but instead of the servers going to your table to take your order, you have to go to the front and order there. They had a wide selection of foods so I just blindly placed my order.

Latte & Macchiato ♨ I wish I had the leaf design; it looked so elaborate.
I checked other people's photos of their Cup & Cup drinks on instagram and they had such intricate designs such as a teddy bear or a snowman. I'm still fine with a heart but teddy bears are cute :[

My udon! I love how it is also in a cup; how cute! There are bonito flakes on top and the steam makes it seem like it is moving.

Very delicious! I even drank the soup. It totally warmed me up.

Diana got rice with pork and kimchi fries. The fries are so good! They aren't oily like the ones in fast food restaurants

We stayed for a really long time; I would definitely come back here ^_^

Naruto Ramen!

I went to a ramen bar in Brooklyn called Naruto Ramen. It tastes like authentic Ramen but it is not run my Japanese people at all, or Asian people for that matter.

The food was delicious though. No wonder it was so crowded!

Peking duck!

The meat is soo good~
I felt like the ramen did not have that much taste or maybe it's just me.

My miso ramen; they even have the ramen Naruto eats!

Yat Yat Sweet!

I had dessert at Yat Yat Sweet after dinner at a Shanghai restaurant.

They have a wide range of dessert on the  menu such as soups, puddings, ice cream and bubble tea. They even have durian!

I got a crepe with bananas, strawberries and condensed milk as the sauce. It was really yummy!

According to their page on Yelp, it has closed. I wonder why :(

Early dinner w mommy! ♥

Server: "You're 21 right?"
Me: "Um...*cough* uh yeah"

I love shumai- both Japanese and Chinese ones!

I can eat them all day =w=)b ♥

I ordered four rolls. I forgot what they are called since I just ordered than randomly haha~ (Horribly filtered by my phone)

I'm surprised we finished the meal without getting too full. Normally we would be too stuffed to finish the plate. Nonetheless, the food was delicious.

PS: Budweiser tastes better than Sapporo imo

Finally chilled with my homegurl today!

It took about an hour to get to the city. No Q train, no N train- we realized by the time we go to those train stations and so much time was wasted transferring :c

At least the weather was nice lmao (a bit windy though)

We went to Yaya to have try their rice balls. The drinks have such strange names!

"Hi can I have a boyfriend" lolol

So I ended up getting a Boyfriend and a salmon rice ball. Very yummy~

Here is Sam messing up on unwrapping her riceball lmao

hilariousss~~!

We went to Elizabeth Center afterwards.

There are stores that sell cute things like food key chains and jewelry. However, many are closing down because people just look and not buy their merchandise :c (like me).

I wanted to get anime posters at this anime store but it closed u__u

We shopped around at 34th street after that. I went to my first LUSH store. Also, I went to the biggest and most beautiful Victoria's Secret store ever! It was three stores and the underwears are soo cute! I bought new thongs too ^u^

We wanted to eat at Spot Dessert Bar afterwards but we couldn't find it. We see it on the iPhone map but not the store. We realized we gotta go to this building to take the elevator upstairs only labeled as "Food Gallery" -_-
Buy two desserts and get the third one half off!

Chocolate green tea lava: warm soft dark chocolate cake, green tea ganache, green tea ice cream, walnut soil
(RATE: 9/10)
This was my favorite dessert. The melting chocolate is hot and dipping it with green tea ice cream is bliss on your taste buds~

Yuzu Eskimo- frozen japanese citrus cream bar, fresh strawberries and chocolate pearls
(RATE: 7/10)

The cream bars were a bit sour but the strawberries were delicious when dipped with the raspberry cream and chocolate powder.

Kabocha brulee cake: warm japanese pumpkin cake, walnut soil, condensed milk with ice cream
(RATE: 8/10)

This tasted pretty good too; the cake was steaming hot. Steam was literally visible when was cut with a fork. It tasted great with the ice cream~

Looking pale af lolol

This is supposed to look like a rooster but I always see it as a triceratops :L

Walked so much yesterday, walked so much today. And leg day tomorrow
