♣:- January 29, 2013 -:♣

First day of spring semester! I went to school to pick up my report card and schedule.
I was pretty satisfied with my grades since I haven’t been doing well in school lately. I got higher grades than I expected! My schedule is okay as well, I had the same teachers from last term in most of my classes C:
I planned to go to Times Square alone afterwards but instead I went to Chinatown with Steven, Kitty, and Ronald. I just met Ronald that day; yay new friend! ^0^
It was quite fun especially when I was still upset about my breakup. I told them what happened and they understood and listened. Ronald also gave me advice and I felt much better c;
We went to Popeye’s and we coincidentally saw a few people from our school. Then, I went to this cafe I’ve always wanted to go because of their Japanese riceballs called Yaya.

(Although it was just a cafe, there are shelves stocked with cute asian snacks including Meiji chocolates which is rare to find here in NYC)

(My first real onigiri [Japanese riceball]. I tried the fried chicken onigiri and put spicy mayo on it. It’s sooo goood ^w^)
I finally went to Times Square afterwards and I took tons of videos hoping to make a video out of it.
At first, I felt really awkward recording everything around me, walking around in circles but there were many others who were recording their surroundings as well. The city is just too beautiful~ u__u ♥

(Although the weather was very dull and gray, the place was still very lively ^u^)
I went to Forever21, my favorite store ♥ I went to the men’s fitting by accident. -__- Like, it was in the men’s section so obviously it’s for men, right? But for some reason, I didn’t think it mattered ASDHKDALKJ. This male employee said I was in the wrong dressing room and redirected me to the correct one *cries* so embarassing ;u;
I went to M&M World and Toys R Us afterwards. Despite the fact I was alone, I was very happy. There were so many places to see although I’ve been there dozens of times. Not only that, I got my thoughts together~

I went to Starbucks afterwards and got a Green Tea Latte. It was very awkward because I’m not used to ordering things myself~
I sat outside to drink my coffee. This random man came up to me and we had a small chat. After the chat, he gave me this advertisement lol! All this for a flyer ;u;
During my time at Times Square, strangers came up to me to advertise their things. One even had the audacity so stuff the flyer in my hand even though I said “no thank you” lol!
After all that, I met up with my mom who got out of work early to eat dinner with me. She’s been spending a lot of time with me now because she knew I was upset about my breakup ;u; ♥

The food was delicious~ We were extremely full afterwards. When we left the restaurant, it was raining really hard :C
That day was probably the funnest day I had in January.  I have been forcing myself to leave the house so I can get my mind off things.
Because of this, I discovered that life isn’t as bad as you think~

♠:- January 18, 2013 -:♠

I haven’t seen my friend, Oznur, for quite a long time so she hit me up in the spur of the moment and we decided to eat lunch together after school.
I wanted to introduce her to Sake, this sushi buffet restaurant. We walked in, sat down and then I realized I only had $5 in my wallet -__-
omfg so embarrassing! I told the waitress that I left my wallet at home (when I obviously held out my wallet showing the five $1 bills LOL *kills self)
So we walked out and went to a Turkish restaurant, Istanbul.

(Chicken and lamb over rice. It was delicious, I didn’t really like the lamb though but the chicken was very yummy ^u^)
Afterwards, we went to Hi-tea where I got a drink.
Well, that concludes the day. I still can’t believe I was short on money. Ugh, so embarassing.
