HEY

It's been a long time since I've updated this blog since a lot of things have happened:

1) I STARTED WORKING!!

It's my first job so I've been really busy. I work in a drinks shop that sells bubble tea and all that good stuff. c:

2) I WENT ON VACATIONNNNN

A cruise to Bermuda to be exact.  I'll be posting blog entries on that soon as well as the ones from the past two months.

Thank you to those who continue to visit my blog even though I haven't updated in almost two months lol!

I can't believe my blog reached 25k views! Thanks ^_^

Post-Gallery Adventure

After the art gallery, we went to get lunch. We walked on the High Line to see the view of the city. It used to be a railroad but it is now an attraction for tourists and New Yorks alike.

I saw this on the side of a building while walking there~

We had ramen in the Chelsea Pier marketplace. It tasted really good but it was very expensive and not filling at all. I finished it in five minutes!
The bowl was at least $10 and I added an egg which was actually $2 extra :I

We went to Tours de Jours Bakery at Korea Town afterwards for dessert. They served shaved ice- decorated with condensed milk, red beans, fruits and ice cream.

It looks so colorful and lovely. I ordered the green tea shaved ice. It was very expensive though ($13!). It was mainly ice and I couldn't finish it in the end. I kept coughing bc it was so cold :(

After dessert, we decided to go home. It was a fun day c:

The Jane Lombard Gallery

After viewing Yayoi Kusama's gallery, we went to see the gallery across the street.

It was completely empty so we could take as many photos as wanted :p

Counting bugs with Vanessa; there were these huge ant-looking bugs crawling on the windows!

At first I thought there were only two bugs (and one dead one) but Diana said to look up and there were a BUNCH OF THEM crawling on the window ughh gross! I wouldn't want to put my artwork in a room infested with bugs :(

I've been shaping my eyebrows but I can't get the shape I had a few months ago :c

'supp

After a couple more photos, we went to get some lunch. I was rather grossed out by the number of bugs I saw. There was even one at the door handle when we left!

But other than that, I enjoyed the artwork very much. I should have read more on the artist upon entering.

Give Me Love

Happy Brooklyn-Queens day!
I went to the David Zwirner Gallery in Chelsea to see Yayoi Kusama's work with Diana and her daughter, Vanessa. We took a lot of pictures c:

There are two parts of the gallery: one is a house as shown in the photo above and the other is a standard gallery which contains sculptures from the artist. There is an extremely long line to the house; I can see why though!

Upon entry in the house, we were each given stickers. When we went inside, a lot more stickers were added in the room. People put stickers everywhere including themselves :b

It was the wrong idea to wear these shoes: they absolutely killed the back of my feet. It was so much that the back of my right foot started bleeding. I had to limp to the gallery like an injured lamb lol  I bought some band-aids at Duane Reade but I bought the wrong size so they kept falling off. It took around three band-aids to get it stick on the back of my feet :c

Anyway, here are more pics!

We were only allowed five minutes in the house since there were so many people waiting in line. We went to see the sculptures afterwards.

How does one even pose with a pumpkin?

There is a strict rule against touching the artwork. This guy was putting his arm through the hole of the sculpture and the guard yanked him arm out like damn sonn :0

After a short while, we left the gallery, took a short breather and then visited another gallery. Next blog entry coming soon! ^_^

No abs for me this summer~

I've decided to continue bulking for the rest of the year. I was bulking since December but it was a very, very slow bulk since I was not consistent with consuming my daily calories. I only gained two pounds the most lol!

Anyway, I'm going to bulk for real, even throughout the summer. I've never done that before. I wonder how I'm going to feel when I'm at the beach and I have a stomach. I'll thank myself in the future though. Gaining weight will make my body increase fat but after I cut next year, I'll have the curves I want c:

I may consider buying a one piece, like a body suit idk...last summer I cut too much that I was very thin. I felt very insecure. I don't want to be insecure this summer b/c I gained too much weight (even I'm supposed to be gaining weight lmao).

I'm currently eating around 1800 calories a day. It's probably still not enough but it's very hard for me to eat a lot since my cultural diet is generally very light and I've always eaten around 1000-1300 calories daily. It's going to be tough to increase it to 1800-2000 calories. I try to eat at least 1500 though which is still very little.

Anyway, I'm just eating waffles and ring dings to gain that weight. My diet is particularly unhealthy since I snack A LOT but that's how I bulk lmao. I'm getting pretty sick of waffles though since I eat four a day.  Sometimes I eat six ring dings in a day too; it's around 700 calories though so it's probably worth it ;u;

I'm going to the gym twice a week as well. I've been consistent for two months so far. Not only do I feel more confident, I also have a sense of independence. I only go to the gym to work out legs now. I'm considering on exercising my arms and abs at home.

These are my thoughts so far...I can't imagine how my body looks after gaining weight. I'm 121lbs right now and this is actually the heaviest I've been.

✮ Naruto Ramen ✮

I went to have lunch with mom at Naruto Ramen. The last time I went to eat there was during the winter. I remember it was very cold outside and that the place was so crowded we had to wait for awhile for seats.

But this time, the weather was very warm and the restaurant was rather empty!

Takoyaki for appetizers.
I'm not a huge fan of octopus and mayonnaise but this was very delicious! I love the taste of the batter after it's fried, and the outside of the takoyaki has a very savory taste. There is also no strong taste of the octopus; rather, I couldn't even taste it at all. I also love the bonito flakes; they're a bit sour but that's their taste lol

My ramen is called "Naruto Ramen" lol
It's called that maybe because that's the ramen Naruto eats in the anime :p

My Mom got another type of ramen. It's mostly veggies.

The portions looks very small but there is actually a lot of food. I couldn't finish it and my mom had to finish it for me lol
The ramen was good but it was a little bit salty, especially the meat but I think it's supposed to taste that way.
I decided to save the seaweed for last so I put it aside in the bowl and I just realized I forgot to eat it lol! It probably sank to the bottom of the bowl, drenched in the soup.

Anyway, the food in general is pretty good. It's funny how the restaurant makes authentic Japanese food but none of the workers are Japanese or East Asian. That's NYC for you!

Cup & Cup

No more lab on Wednesday~~ finally!

I met up with Courtney and Diana after my first class and then we went to Cup & Cup. This is the second time I've went to the cafe (entry on our first visit here). I've wanted to go there again for awhile but it closes after 4pm and it is another restaurant called Take 31 during that time as well as on weekends.
I got a latte and Diana got a red velvet latte (I think that's what it is called lol). Her drink always looks better than mine lol ;u;

I ordered pork udon and kimchi fries. The pork was mostly fat and the portions were small but it was still good. I love the kimchi fries the most. It had chopped pickles, kimchi and cheese topped on the fries. So addicting lol!

Love my lab group!

We had dessert at the Food Gallery afterwards. It's been awhile since I had froyo; I love mochi toppings :3

I had to head back to school afterwards *cries* but I had a really good time ^_^

Thick thighs, thin patience

I can't believe how thick my thighs have gotten.  Last summer, I thought that I will never have the fit bodies I see on Instagram                     and now I'm almost there!                                                                                                                  I never imagined that my thighs would get bigger since no matter how much I ate and lifted, I still felt very small.  I also couldn't imagine myself lifting heavy but now I can do leg presses with more than two 45lb plates on each side!                                                                        (lol it may not seem much to some of you but it is a great accomplishment for me :b)
Although I started lifting for almost year and a half already, I was always insecure about my body until awhile ago. Last summer, I cut so much of my calorie intake and did so much cardio to get abs, that my butt shrank as well the other muscles I worked really hard on. Even though I had nice abs in the end, I was very insecure and unhappy with my body.

These are some photos I took last summer.  I still had some arm muscles (not really but I never really had any arm muscles and this was where I had the most lol); I just realized I should start working out my arms as well instead of working only on my legs.
Anyway, my legs were a lot smaller and my booty game was still kinda weak lmao
(yes my room is very messy :d)

It was only lately that I somewhat liked my body because I started to consistently work out. This girl on Instagram whom I follow and admire works out almost as long as I did. She competes and has a very aesthetic body. She told me, "Consistency is key!" and I followed her advice ever since ^_^

"Unshrank" my fav dress!

My favorite dress from Forever21 shrank in the dryer last summer after wearing it once *cries* I was very heartbroken since I never wore it ever again (unless I wear leggings underneath sighh but it just wasn't the same)

So I looked up on Youtube on how to fix shrunk clothing and I did the thing!

With warm water and shampoo, I was able to stretch my dress out by at least three inches! #thanksyoutube

Before my dress shrunk so much, I could see my butt cheeks under it lol! And now it is halfway above my knees, the perfect length c:

I also never realized how much my booty grew because last summer, I could not see it at all lmao, I almost have my dream body ^_^ I'm wearing boy shorts underneath the dress.

Here is the tutorial I used:

Another Fitness Update!

I've been starting to go to the gym more consistently now. I go twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays because those are the days I don't have class. Sometimes on Sundays, I go workout with Colin as well~

I go to 24 Hour Fitness and Blink. Colin's membership on Blink allows him to bring a person with him for free.  So I've been going to different branches of 24 Hour Fitness to see which one I like best.

What is so frustrating that none of the gyms have a good glute machine (if they even have) except Tilden in which they have two.
The glute machine at the Bensonhurst branch is so old, that the label is faded and yellow and I have no idea how to use it. It's probably why no one ever uses it and it's just left there at the back of the gym.
There are two glute machines at Sheepshead but they are both BROKEN. UGh.
There are no glute machines in the Kings Highway branch at all.

The Tilden branch  is the only one with two leg press machine and two glute machines. It is the gym I used to always go to but Flatbush is a bit far :T

THE GLUTE MACHINE IS SO UNDERRATED!!

Anyway, most of the time the workouts at the gym aren't enough so I do some more lunges and ab workouts at home.
My abs are starting to show! Trying to get my waist to be a bit smaller lol :p

Fitness Update:

I started going to the gym by myself since Colin's been really busy with schoolwork. I always try to stay consistent with my workouts by going to the gym at least once a week and eating my calories. I'm already seeing improvement!

I went to the 24 Hour Fitness (was previously Bally's) at Bensonhurst. It was an okay gym except their glute machine was shitty and old. I had no idea how to use it b/c the label was yellow with the words faded rendering it a useless machine. No wonder no one used it lol

After my workout, I went to Hi-Tea. It was my spot back in high school. Everything looked the same (well they decorated the place a bit) and tasted the same. They still had the same staff.
I always order the same stuff. It's either Thai milk tea w/ aloe & lychee jelly or lychee flavored green tea w/ coffee jelly and lychee jelly. I usually order a pudding with chocolate sauce (only $1!) to go with it. A small drink and a pudding is only $3 ^_^

Post gym workout selfie!
I did legs at the gym and abs at home.

Left: left side || Right: right side

Left: 2010 (~90lbs) | Right: 2015 (~120lbs)
My Tumblr post about this here.

I mainly work on legs now but I sometimes work out my upper body as well~
For once, I'm somewhat proud of my progress c:

My 19th Birthday~~~

I was really excited for this day because my eighteenth year was really shitty from day 1. So much stress from college, changes in my life leading to adulthood, personal issues and many other bad things :(

Although I was looking forward to it, I was not that excited. As I got older, birthdays are just another year for me haha~

Anyway, I spent the day with Colin. We met up in the evening since Colin had some schoolwork to finish.  Also, I had lunch with my parents earlier before they head to Paris for a marathon later in the afternoon.

Birthday girl!
I bought the halter top yesterday at Forever21; Colin said I dressed so casual for birthday ;u;

We went to watch Insurgent in the theater. I didn't watch the first movie so it took me awhile to catch on but it was really good! The special effects were super realistic. I did want to watch the first movie but I never got to it :/

After that, we went to 99 Flavor Taste for hot pot. Because we didn't make a reservation, we had to wait two hours. We chilled on a bench outside a soccer field and watched people play soccer to make time go faster.

Hot pot! We each got a bowl of soup.
It's Colin's first time trying it; he likes BBQ better since they cook the food for you :p
The servers we had last time recognized us lol! Well, it's only been around ten days since we last came here.
They gave me a lot of crab which made me very happy. I also b/c it was my birthday, I get to eat for free! :D

Since my parents left for Paris, Colin spend the night with me. It was very nice and this birthday was much better than my last one ^_^
