新年快乐!


I've been waiting for this day for so long! I went yum cha with my family at 8 Ave. It was soo crowded =A=;;
But because my family personally knows some of the people who work there, we didn't have to wait long to get our seats =w=)b

After 16 dishes of dim sum and a large entree, we went back home. I went to my aunt's house to chill for a bit and get my red envelopes.

Awhile later, I went to Ginza Sushi with my family and relatives for dinner.
  • Seven special rolls
  • Vegetable Tempura
  • Ika (squid)
  • Sashimi
  • Pineapple
  • Green tea ice cream
We also had kani salad, salmon skin salad and a soup udon. I was SO FULL. I haven't eaten that much in such a long time.

This Chinese New Year doesn't feel as festive. Normally, I have to pay my respects to my distant relatives and family friends (whom I don't know). And the adults would play mahjong. But this year, none of that happened.

That's okay though because I'm still very sore from my workout on Wednesday :b

Rest from Squat Challenge


I haven't done the squat challenge for three days
The first day was because I went to the gym so I did more than just squats. 
The other two days was because I was too sore. I could barely walk the next day. I stayed in bed all day except to use the bathroom (in which I limp my way there :c) I'm still sore today but I really want to do squats. I might go to the gym on Sunday again so I'm excited! c:

First Time at the Gym!

Today is Colin and I's ten months of dating. I know it's not that long but what's more important is that today is also the first time I've stepped foot into a gym!
I told my mom I would be going to the gym with Colin last night. This morning, I came downstairs to these:


PROTEINNNN! My parents are runners, especially my mom, so we have a lot of protein and energy stuff whaddup

We went to the Bally's near Colin's house. I planned to have a free 7-day trial but apparently we gotta sign that up online. Since we walked all the way  in the cold there, I decided to become a member. It was $10 under Colin's card. 

We first did warmups and then we went downstairs to the heavy lifting area. At first, I was really intimidated. I was the only asian girl there lol (basically the only girl). Everyone stared at me as I walked in and they were all 3x bigger than me. I bet they're thinking if I even lift ;n;

Colin may be my boyfriend but when it comes to exercising, he has no mercy :c Throughout the workouts, he kept adding weights. But in the end, it got easier and easier so I'm glad he pushed me to work harder c:

The workouts don't seem to be that bad except for the squat machine. I really struggled with it even though he assisted me. After that, I worked out the glutes which wasn't that bad because it's similar to a pilates workout I do every day. 

We finished our workout by working out our calves. It wasn't that bad. I dropped weights; first I did three sets of 70 lbs, then 50 lbs, then 40 lbs.

Now that I'm a member, we planned to go to the gym together around three times a week! I'm really excited ^u^

My legs feel like noodles. I haven't lifted weights since last year at school. We went back to his place afterwards and drank protein shake. It was goood; tasted like chocolate milk~

I mad tired rn. I'm supposed to do 105 squats today for the squat challenge but I think today counted as more than 105 squats. I think I will take a nap after this.

Squat Challenge (DAY 9)

100 Squats!! It gets easier day by day; I did it in 5 sets of 20 squats.

Yesterday was my rest day but I just craved to work out! So I did pilates all afternoon. Today, I worked twice as hard as I did yesterday


Healthy breakfast! Organic African Nectar tea and a turkey & ham roll 

Every day I take out my yoga mat, change into my booty shorts and look up pilates workout videos from blogilates to do between each set of squats. I exercise about an hour daily; I can spare 4% of my day

Squat Challenge (DAY 7)

I did 80 squats today. I separated them into 5 sets of 16 squats. It's been one week since I started the challenge and I'm still motivated!

Between each set, I did the Arms on Fire POP Pilates workout and some glute exercises. I don't plan on working on my arms much, only to gain more strength.

Ever since I've discovered Blogilates, I love doing pilates. They are so simple yet so exhausting!
I'm really glad my parents are athletic (especially my mom). They are both runners so they have a lot of protein and energy bars/snacks.


I'm eating the protein recovery crisps as I type up this entry lol. They're goood (but really expensive :c)

Squat Challenge (DAY 6)

Recap of the Squat Challenge:

I did 75 squats today. I completed it in five sets of 15 squats.

Between each set, I did the Victoria Secret Bombshell Butt Workout.
Then, I finished the workout with my favorite Bikini Booty Thong Workout. What a butt killer! 

My butt is very sore right now and my legs feel like noodles lol! don't feel like getting up to shower :c

I went to a FAFSA (Financial Aid) workshop earlier in the morning and then I went to the doctor's. I did a lot of walking today~

Also it snowed ;3; THIS WEATHER IS TOO DAMN COLD

Squat Challenge (DAY 5)

I am to do 70 squats today. I separated into three sets of 20 squats plus 10 more squats.


I hung out with Colin the whole day and I got home around 10pm. I was too tired to squat but one day missed is one day more away from the body I want so no excuses!

I managed to finish all 70 squats in 20 minutes but I have to admit some were sloppy (I was trying to complete it before my mom got out of the shower so I can use the bathroom lol).

Squat Challenge (DAY 4)

Rest day~! I'm letting my sore muscles rest so I only did some basic stretches today. My butt is finally sore which is good
I don't expect any results in a month or even three months time, but sometimes I worry that I won't get any results at all. 

Every time I'm sweating my ass off, I wonder if I will really get the change I want. Having a fit figure is too good to be true which is probably why I'm doubting myself. I have absolutely no confidence in anything so maybe exercising will change that :c

I always set standards that are too high and I beat myself up for not being able to reach them (which is why I have no confidence). But at the same time, it motivates me to work harder

Squat Challenge (DAY 3)

No school for mee~! Cutting class because:
  1. It snowed so hard last night and it was below zero degrees.
  2. My body was too sore and tired from yesterday's workout. I knocked out the moment my head touched the pillow.
I'm so glad I stayed home because I heard the school was completely empty due to snowstorm we had last night. Many teachers didn't show up and the few students that came to class just played hangman and watched Family Guy lml

My thighs are a lot less sore but after today's workout, they were sore again. My lower back hurts too. I should stop going ATG since they are bad for the lower back and knees :c

Today's squat challenge was 60 squats. I separated it into 6 sets of 10 squats each. 

I did a POP Pilates workout between each set. Today's workout concentrates on my glutes so I exercised accordingly~

Bikini Booty Thong Workout: One of my favorite pilates workouts. You can do this on the bed while on your laptop, play video games, or even watch tv on your couch!

After my workout, I vacuumed my room and did the laundry for the first time in years. I don't know mann, I just felt so pumped up after my workout!

Shiseido Eudermine Revitalizing Essence

This small bottle is basically a toner. It smells great and removes oil, dirt, and makeup. It also makes your skin really smooth!

Some people say that the toner makes them break out especially on their forehead but that has never happened to me and I break out really, really easily.


Although this product is great, it is too expensive. Prices range from $56 to $70! Too pricey for such a small bottle. I finished it in two weeks. Thankfully I received this as a sample.

Squat Challenge (DAY 2)

My body feels like it is being repeatedly stabbed several needles every time I move. My thighs particularly hurt but not my butt (the part I want to tone up the most) :/

After my second day of workout, I am in even more pain. But that's okay,
"Pain is temporary but quitting lasts forever."
I am to do 55 squats today. I separated it into 5 sets of 11 squats.

Colin recommended me to 'ass to grass' since it includes hamstrings and glutes with each repetition.

For each set of squats, I did the 5-Min Energizing workout . I completed four sets of that workout but only did one 30-sec jumping jacks since my dad was asleep and the creaking of the floor from the jumps would wake him. To compensate, I did 1-min lunges and 1-min planks for each set.

I also did stretches and 20 crunches. I rest in between with the corpse pose (savasana).

I concluded my workout with the Bikini Booty Thong Workout.


I'M SO TIREDDD but I love it! I wish there is a snow day tomorrow so I can exercise more =w=)b ~♪

Squat Challenge (DAY 1)

I was really excited for today! Today is the day I will change.

I told my boyfriend about exercising and he was really supportive! He body-builds so he gave me lots of great advice. He calculated my minimum calorie intake and suggested other exercises for me as well (squats alone won't give you a nice butt lol). He also said we can maybe even go to the gym together! c:

My friends are supportive as well! I signed up for a 5k run in September with Sam and we, along with my other homegurl Oznur, would practice jogging when the weather gets warmer c:

Prepared myself a nice breakfast! Earl Grey Lavender Tea and chinese porridge~

Day One~ My booty game mad weak lmao; can't wait to see how my body will change!

Current Weight: 120lbs || Weight Goal: 130lbs

Hopefully I will reach that number by the end of this year. I want to make gains. Ten pounds is a lot so it may take awhile ;u;

I am to complete 50 squats today. I easily finished it in two sets of 25 squats.

To complete my workout I did:
  • 20 sit-ups
  • 20 crunches
  • 20 lunges (10 per leg)
  • 20 sec. plank
  • side planks (both sides 20 sec each)
  • 5-Minute Energizing Workout

I was so tired afterwards but I feel so great now! 

I went to Ginza Sushi for lunch and I ate A LOT. 
Assorted tempura bento & green tea for me~ Since the waiter knows my family the meal was free ^0^ ♪

I'm trying to gain weight so my minimum calorie intake is 1800. If I continue working out, I can consider counting macros. 

I can't wait for tomorrow so I can exercise again. I actually have something to look forwards to now ^w^ ♥

Revisiting Tea-riffic Cafe!

Ate at Tea-riffic Cafe again after the wonderful meal I had last time~

Not feeling school anymore; I wake up every morning deciding whether to cut my first period class (in which I should have today because my teacher was absent =A=;;) and regretting ever sleeping so late

I don't bother applying eye makeup on except for eyeshadow. My friend said I looked tired w/o my eyeliner (imo it's an indirect way of saying that i look like shit lmao). I thought I looked fairly decent today actually...

Anyway, the fall semester is almost over. I can't wait for Martin Luther King Day (no school!), Chinese New Year and regents week!

I'm still trying to figure this life thing out. I don't know what to do with my future nor do I know what's going on in my life atm. I feel like I'm confused about something that doesn't even exist. In fact, I don't even know what I'm confused about!

I've been feeling like this for awhile now. My mind is so clouded with negative thoughts. I wish I were a good and positive person but it's not that easy to become one (well I tried and I am currently as negative as ever lml). I have no idea what this year holds for me.
