Starting my third week of college starting Monday! I go to a commuter school so I'm not living the full college life since I travel to school from home. It's still cool though and it's is a lot better than high school.
No need to ask for bathrooms or have to walk around with a hall pass lool!
No need to ask for bathrooms or have to walk around with a hall pass lool!
However it can be very exhausting. All I want to do is nap when I get home.
I have made a few new friends and reconnected with the ones back in high school. Everyone is very friendly since it's the new school year lool
When I sneeze, half the room blessed me like oh stahppp~ When I sneeze in high school no one says shit.
Although it is a Saturday evening, I'm still pretty fatigued since I woke up early to go to the gym (back from a three month hiatus!). I'm typing whatever is on my mind. I feel bad I have been neglecting my hobby of blogging.
Food in college is not cheap. This sushi bowl was not worth $10. The avocado and eel were thinly sliced like paper. Other foods there were fairly expensive as well but the foods outside the school weren't any better.
Aside from the prices, I am lucky to have many different types of food choices in the area. There is a bubble tea place, pizza parlor, burger & wraps place, Duane Reade, gyro stand, hot dog stand, a Burmese restaurant, McDonald's, Starbucks, a Korean express restaurant, Chipotle, and a lot more!
This was my lunch on the second day of college. The meal was $12 but I really wanted to eat Mohinga since it's one of my favorite foods ;u; I first tried it in the burmese festival for $6 and it was soo delicious!
The place is called Cafe Mingala. This is the only Burmese restaurant in NYC I think. I'm so glad it's so close to my school. Although the restaurant was ZAGAT rated, the place looked so deserted that I nearly missed it. I could tell that people weren't coming because the raised the price of the menu. I was the only customer in the restaurant.
In high school, I am mistakened for a college student. In college, everyone could tell I'm a freshman lmao I don't know why. Is it the way I dress? Is it because I wear a bookbag? I have no idea lol. People I meet could tell at once that I am new to the school (maybe also because of the frequent U-turns I make in the school ;u;)
There was a college street fair last Wednesday! It was a club fair where students promote their club and get people to join. I met nice people and got free food!
I waited 30 min in line for burgers with my friend and when it was our turn, we realized we needed a ticket in order to get one *walks away sadly :c*
I wasn't planning to go to the fair because I didn't know who to go with but I'm glad I did ^u^
My classes are all right. The work is fairly simple although I have been falling behind from not studying. There are roughly 600-800 students in the lecture hall. I didn't believe it when someone told me but when we did iClicker questions, the number of answers totaled to 700+ students!
I have lab weekly on Weds. from 5pm-7pm. The lab building is 30 minutes away from campus so I gotta take the train and walk three blocks and three avenues (the walk of shame lool).
Plus I have to stand for two hours straight during lab. Good thing my lab partners are very cooperative and lab is fairly easy (...so far lmao).
My only small classes are English and Math which contained around 20-30 people. I was late to both classes yesterday.
I was late for Math because I didn't know what to wear in the morning. It's a stupid reason but I realized that no pants fit me because I've lost so much weight over the summer. Not even a belt could help me. I ended up leaving the house with sweatpants and was 15 minutes late :(
I was late for English because I overslept in the library lool! I thought class started at 2:45pm when it actually started at 2:10pm.
Anyway, this kinda sums up how school was so far. It's exactly 10pm right now and I told myself that I will study an hour ago. I will after I take this shower lool okie byeeeeee~
