Reunion!

Finally met some of my high school buddies on Thanksgiving Break! 

A lot of people were invited but only two people from my high school came. I thought I would meet my close friends again but my son, Michael brought his international friends from his school along. They were very nice!

It was also my late grandmother's birthday so I went to visit her first.

Afterwards I met up with the squad. Normally, I'm always late to Mike's plans but this time I was thirty minutes early. I ended up waiting for them for an hour because they got off at the wrong station or something lol

I saw other people back in my high school at the station too. I was about to wave hi to them but they didn't recognize me T__T

Mike didn't recognize me too. He walked past me (which I didn't notice) and he had to call me to find me lol

We went to Picnic Garden for korean BBQ. It's sooo good especially this meat. I don't know if it's beef or pork but the seasoning is amazing =p="

We had a lot of catching up and I learned that people we knew changed so much in college. Like they're partying and having fun, and I'm like in the city still... feels like I'm missing out ya know :L I still like NYC though

I left after the lunch because I had my research paper to finish. Gotta make a stop at Vivi's though!

Thinking now, I changed a lot too. I mean, I didn't party but I feel a different way. Life feels different. There are different vibes since I started college.

It feels like I'm grown even though I was 17 just six months ago. I learned to do things myself and I became a lot less awkward and shy compared to high school. I'm being treated like an adult but I had to ask to use the bathroom at school just four months back.

I really want to see my high school friends again. I used to hate high school because of the people there. But now I miss it because the commute was so short, the work was so easy, I barely had to study and I made some of the best people there :c

Black Friday!

Black Friday last year was pretty pathetic. I only bought a dress, a skirt, and a pair of underwear. I only wore the dress and skirt once and never again :L

BUT THIS YEAR IS HYPE. I bought mad stuff and esp. that I have a debit card now, I let loose...well just a little. I have never spent so much at once anyway, probably like $200.

H&M had jeans for $10. I found the perfect high-waist jeans; turns out it was not on sale...$40 bucks. I still bought it though. I was going to get another pair if it were on sale :/ These are my first pair of high-waist jeans! Turning heads when I wear them- it's a deal breaker.

When I was shopping at Gap, one of the employees hit up a conversation with us. He asked if we had an instagram. Sam said yes so naturally I did too. I regret being honest because he was like "follow me". It's like he wanted me to follow him. So I followed him, and unfollowed when I left the store lolol

It's not the first time; guys always come up to talk to us. Even when I'm alone such as waiting for the train, a stranger always hit up a conversation with me. Why tho let me be lol

Shopping break! I tried the eggnog latte from Starbucks; it was all right. It was bitter at first. Imma stick with caramel brulee latte. 

At the end of my shopping, I got:

1. five panties (5 for $26; I thought I bought thongs but turns out they weren't :/)
2. a mint sweater from Forever21
3. a gray shirt from Forever21
4. presents for Colin
5. pair of jeans from H&M
6. coat from GAP
7. snow boots from Macys
8. sweatpants from Mandees (they make my booty look big lol)
9. sweatpants that look like denim from Mandees

And that's it lol, damn I thought I bought more lol :L

We hit up two malls! I wasn't exhausted by then haha

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Spent the holiday w the fam! Last Thanksgiving was terrible. No one did anything and my mom only made spring rolls for the occasion. I still gotta be thankful tho

I had my Thanksgiving dinner at my aunt's house.  We had pizza, sushi, Korean pancakes and more! I love how we eat food from different cultures whenever we have a feast.

Brunch!

Chilled w my friend, Diana since our chemistry prof decided to dip within the first ten minutes of lecture. 

He said he wasn't feeling too well and all of a sudden he's like, "I can't do this", packed his things and literally ended a lecture of 700 people just like that). Is he even allowed to do this lol Anyway he's a terrible professor anyway..

I busted my ass coming to the lecture (I was late) and I told myself I'll actually pay attention in class so I whipped out my kindle with my textbook on it. When I was flipping through the pages, the prof decided to dip -_-

We went to Chinatown to go to this Thai restaurant but it was not opened yet since it was still early. I took her to a HK Cafe called Cha Chan Tang (literally cafe in Cantonese lol)

Since it was early, we received the breakfast menu. There weren't a lot of choices of food to select and worse yet they ran out of everything except for noodles and congee lol. So basically there was only one choice.

We asked for the lunch menu but we had to wait until it was 11:30 (it was like 11:20am that time). My friend was kinda annoyed LOL D:

We got our food eventually. I forgot to take a pic of the food cus I was hungry lmao

Afterwards, we just walked around Chinatown since my next lecture wasn't until 2:45pm~

Hair change!

All split ends chopped off! I did not expect to have my hair cut this short this soon (I was planning to grow it out) but I simply couldn't take my permed and damaged hair anymore *o*

I did not have an image of how I want my hair to be like so I just told the hair stylist to cut it short. She cut it with short layers (idk why Chinese barbers do that. It looks like a mullet but I know it's the style in China and other East Asian countries; it's so fobby and I'm not into that hype anymore :L).

I wasn't content with those short layers so I took a pair of hair cutting scissors I had at home and snipped it to my liking. I cut my fingers by accident though because hand-eye coordination is difficult in the mirror (didn't know I cut myself until there was blood on the napkin when I wiped the sink and realized it was from me :c).

In the end, I wanted my hair to be like Kiko Mizuhara's since I wanted her hair for a very long time. She is sooo beautiful, like omg I love her <3

I was frustrated that the hair on my right side always flips outward instead of inward so I cut it shorter. I kinda wished I didn't do that but it didn't make much of a difference. I use children's scissors to cut my hair now. It's so much better LOL

I received a lot of compliments on my hair. People said I look better with short hair. I'm so happy! My dad and bro didn't say anything about my hair though :(((

I feel so free with my short hair like I rarely ever have to comb it now. So little maintainance!

Naruto Ramen!

I went to a ramen bar in Brooklyn called Naruto Ramen. It tastes like authentic Ramen but it is not run my Japanese people at all, or Asian people for that matter.

The food was delicious though. No wonder it was so crowded!
